Bloomsburg Track Wraps Up PSAC Championships

SHIPPENSBURG--The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track teams wrapped up action at the 2007 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships on Saturday.

For the women, Amber Hackenberg (Middleburg/Middleburg) had a strong day with two podium finishes. She was fourth in the 3,000 meters in 10:25 and 6th at 5,000 meters in 18:35. Beth Schwing (Hershey/Lower Dauphin) also had a strong day with a fifth place finish at 5,000 meters in a time of 18:12 and a sixth place finish at 3,000 meters in a time of 10:47.

Ashley Shuck (Milton/Milton) had two eighth place finishes finishing 5,000 meters in 18:55 and 11:10 at 3,000 meters. At 400 meters, Connie Raineri (Gilbertsville/St. Pius X) ran a lifetime record 58.32 seconds to finish seventh.

Additionally, Andrea Kellock was 10th at 5,000 meters in 19:07, while Sarah Bounds finished the 5,000 meters in 19:25.

For the men, Jimmy Stockley (Elverson/Twin Valley) finished eighth in the steeplechase with a time of 9:43 after coming into the event seeded last. Also, Justin Shepherd (Cranberry Twp/Seneca Valley) was eighth in the 5,000 meters in 15:08, while Mike Dalton (Lake Hopatcong, NJ/Pope John XXIII) also raced at 5,000 meters finishing in a time of 15:58.
